General
Wild Elves, also known as Grugach, are a fiercely independent and reclusive subrace of 
elves who dwell in Derlith's most remote forests and jungles. Unlike their more refined 
elven cousins, Wild Elves shun civilization, choosing a life of survival and self-reliance 
in the wilderness. They live in small, tightly-knit tribal groups and are highly distrustful 
of outsiders. Their way of life is guided by instinct, tradition, and an unshakable bond 
with nature. While they do not pursue knowledge or magic in the same way as High Elves or 
Grey Elves, their connection to the natural world grants them an innate understanding of 
survival, hunting, and combat.

Physical & Mental Traits
Wild Elves are more muscular and physically robust than other elves, built for endurance 
and survival. They have earthen skin tones ranging from copper to deep bronze, allowing 
them to blend into their woodland environments. Their hair is typically dark black, brown, 
or deep red, though lighter hues can sometimes be found. Their eyes are often green, amber, 
or hazel, reflecting their keen instincts and alertness. While they lack the more robust 
intellect of their other Elven cousins, their agility and strength make them exceptional 
hunters and warriors. Their natural affinity for the wild gives them a near-supernatural 
awareness of their surroundings, making them adept at avoiding danger and tracking prey.
This makes them some of the most rangers in all of Derlith.

Culture & Philosophy
Wild Elves live in hidden tribal villages deep within the forests, where they exist in 
complete harmony with nature. They do not build grand cities or pursue advanced crafts, 
instead relying on natural materials for tools, weapons, and shelter. Their society is 
deeply communal, with each member of the tribe contributing to hunting, foraging, and 
protection. Leadership is earned through experience rather than lineage, with the strongest 
warriors and most skilled hunters guiding their people. Wild Elves have no love for gold, 
luxury, or politics, valuing survival, strength, and honor above all else. While they are 
not inherently hostile, they are extremely wary of outsiders, particularly those who encroach 
upon their lands. Trespassers are given only one warning before being met with swift and 
brutal retaliation. Essentially, Wild Elves are the untamed spirit of the elven race, bound 
to the wilderness and unyielding in their way of life. They are swift, fierce, and unforgiving 
to those who seek to disrupt the natural order of their lands.
