General
Humans are the most adaptable, ambitious, and unpredictable race in all of Derlith.
Unlike elves, dwarves, or goblins - who are shaped by rigid traditions - humans thrive
in diversity and change, able to excel in any class, profession, or walk of life.
They are masters of reinvention, constantly expanding, exploring, and reshaping the
world to fit their desires. Where other races are bound by ancestral grudges, rigid
caste systems, or inborn destinies, humans are free to carve their own fate. This makes
them both feared and envied by longer-lived races, who see humans as rash, unpredictable,
and dangerously ambitious. Despite their short lifespans, humans advance quickly,
mastering skills faster than most races and producing legendary heroes, conquerors, and
scholars. Their relentless drive and ingenuity have allowed them to build vast cities,
wage great wars, and forge powerful kingdoms - but they are also prone to corruption,
greed, and internal strife. Humans are neither inherently good nor evil. They are shaped
by their choices - some become noble warriors and wise scholars, while others become
ruthless warlords and cunning thieves.

Physical & Mental Traits
Physically, humans are varied in size, build, and appearance. Unlike other races with
predictable traits, humans can be tall or short, stocky or lean, dark or fair-skinned,
making them the most visually diverse race in Derlith. Humans are not naturally the strongest,
fastest, or toughest, but they are remarkably balanced, able to train their bodies and
minds in any direction they choose. Their true strength lies in adaptability - while an
elf is always agile and a dwarf is always sturdy, a human can become whatever they need to be.
Mentally, humans are innovative, ambitious, and driven by personal goals. They are fast
learners, picking up skills 20% faster than most races, making them ideal for almost any
profession. Their pragmatism and resourcefulness allow them to thrive in any environment,
whether as merchants, warlords, thieves, or scholars. While other races rely on ancestral
knowledge and long-lived wisdom, humans rely on intuition, trial and error, and sheer
determination. They are risk-takers and opportunists, always pushing the boundaries of what
is possible.

Culture & Philosophy
Because humans are so widespread and diverse, they have no single culture. Instead, human
civilization is a chaotic mix of nations, cities, and tribes, each with its own beliefs,
laws, and traditions. Some human societies are highly civilized, building grand kingdoms,
temples, and universities, while others are warlike and nomadic, thriving through conquest
and raiding. They are both builders and destroyers, capable of great acts of heroism or
unspeakable atrocities. Humans have a complex relationship with other races:
-Elves often view them as short-lived, reckless, and crude, but acknowledge their potential
 for greatness.
-Dwarves admire their work ethic and ambition, but see them as fickle and untrustworthy.
-Orcs, Ogres, and Trolls see humans as prime enemies - or food.
-Goblins and their like love exploiting humans, knowing that their greed makes them easy targets.

Above all, humans are driven by one thing - progress. They are always seeking new lands,
new power, and new knowledge, ensuring that no race can ever truly keep them in check.
