General
Cambions are the offspring of demons and humans, cursed (or blessed) with an unholy
mix of intelligence, ambition, and raw power. Their infernal lineage grants
them unnatural gifts, from inhumanly sharp minds to unnatural charm, but also marks
them as outcasts from birth. Many Cambions do not know of their true nature early
in life, but their otherworldly features¿pointed ears, unsettlingly smooth or oddly
colored skin, small horns, tails, or glowing eyes¿soon betray their demonic heritage.
From the moment they can think for themselves, Cambions develop a deep and cold
intellect, allowing them to manipulate, deceive, and scheme better than nearly any
other race - all cambions are cold and caluclating sociopaths. They are brilliant
planners and leaders, able to assess situations without emotion, making them natural
rulers of criminal organizations, dark cults, or mercenary bands. Unlike orcs, who
dominate by brute strength, Cambions subjugate through intelligence, charisma, and
ruthlessness. Cambions are often found among the clergy of Aramon, wielding dark magic
to spread chaos and destruction, or as mages, using their natural affinity for magic to
enforce their will. They also make highly dangerous assassins, warlords, and mercenaries,
using their superior intellect and combat prowess to outmaneuver opponents. While Cambion
men are always strikingly handsome, Cambion women are something more - they are always
beautiful, seductive, and unnaturally persuasive. They have an almost supernatural
ability to sway human men, which often places them in positions of power, nobility,
and influence. They use this trait to their extreme advantage.

Physical & Mental Traits
Cambions look mostly human, but their demonic bloodline twists their features in subtle
but noticeable ways. Many possess horns, claws, tails, sharp teeth, or unnaturally colored
eyes and hair. Their voices often carry a hypnotic quality, and their movements are
eerily fluid, as if they are always in control of their surroundings. They are incredibly
intelligent, capable of calculating multiple angles in any situation. Their analytical
minds make them dangerous opponents and cunning leaders, able to make decisions without
being clouded by emotions. Cambions are natural strategists, planners, and manipulators,
and they lack the hesitations of more moral beings. They do not hesitate to exploit,
betray, or eliminate obstacles in their path. Despite their demonic strength, Cambions
are not particularly religious - in fact, they are notoriously irreverent, often seeing
gods as mere tools to be used rather than forces to be worshipped. This lack of piety
makes them incapable of deep faith, though they are more than happy to fake devotion when
it serves their interests. Cambions possess infravision, allowing them to see in total
darkness, making them lethal assassins and nocturnal predators - often serial killers.

Culture & Philosophy
Cambions do not have a single culture, as they are born among humans and cast out of nearly
every society. However, their natural cunning, charm, and intelligence allow them to
quickly rise to power wherever they end up. In Caladon, Cambions are not just accepted,
but revered. Many serve as nobility, advisors, and high-ranking members of the infamous
Devil Knights, and some political positions require a person to be a Cambion to qualify.
In Caladon, demons walk freely, and Cambions rule. In Sigil and the southern regions,
however, Cambions are hunted, feared, and despised. The deeply religious human communities
of Derlith's south see Cambions as abominations, leading many to hide their demonic traits
or travel only at night. Cambions believe in the supremacy of strength and intelligence,
following the philosophy that the weak exist to serve the strong. This puts them at direct
odds with elves, whom they despise for their idealistic view that the weak and old should
be protected. They often find common ground with orcs, as both races believe in the rule
of the strong, though Cambions lead through intellect rather than brute force. Similarly,
Dark Elves welcome Cambions, seeing them as kindred spirits in manipulation, ambition,
and superiority over lesser beings. Surprisingly, Cambions are indifferent toward Seraphs.
Unlike some races who see Seraphs as holy warriors, Cambions view them simply as another
group of self-righteous fools. They respect power, not ideals, and Seraphs' obsession with
righteousness amuses more than offends them. Above all, Cambions are master chameleons,
able to seamlessly shift their personality to match the situation. They can play the part
of a noble, a beggar, a warlord, or a scholar - whatever is necessary to achieve their goals.
