They are born for war, raised in harsh, violent societies, and thrive in conflict. To an orc, might makes right, and only the strong deserve to rule. They are natural raiders and conquerors, forming warbands that roam the land in search of enemies to crush and spoils to claim. They care little for diplomacy or alliances - unless such arrangements serve their interests. If an orc can take something by force, they see no reason to negotiate for it. Orcs are not mindless savages, despite what their enemies claim. While they are not known for intellect or patience, they possess cunning battlefield instincts, making them dangerous tacticians and relentless hunters. They do not fear death, believing that dying in battle is the greatest honor. Few races earn an orc¿s respect, but those who prove their strength - whether through combat, endurance, or sheer force of will - can win a place among them. However, those who show weakness are trampled underfoot. Physical & Mental Traits Orcs are muscular, broad-shouldered, and imposing, standing taller than most humans but shorter than ogres. Their green or gray skin, tusks, and boar-like snouts give them a fearsome, bestial appearance. Their red or yellow eyes gleam with predatory intensity, and their bodies are covered in battle scars¿each one a mark of survival. Their brute strength and durability allow them to shrug off injuries that would cripple lesser races. However, their lack of patience and intelligence often leads them to solve problems through violence rather than strategy. Orcs possess infravision, allowing them to see in total darkness, making them deadly ambushers in caves, forests, and nighttime raids. They are naturally aggressive, but their ferocity is tempered by a strict warrior code - strength is respected, but cowardice and treachery are despised. Orcs would rather die fighting than flee, and they laugh in the face of pain and suffering. Culture & Philosophy Orc society is built upon power, war, and conquest. Leadership is determined not by bloodlines or titles, but by who is the strongest, fiercest, and most ruthless. Weakness is never tolerated, and those who cannot fight, hunt, or contribute to the warband are cast out or slain. Orcs value strength above all else, whether it be strength in combat, endurance, or willpower. A leader who shows weakness, loses battles, or hesitates in war will quickly be challenged and overthrown. Their hatred for dwarves runs deep, stemming from ancient wars over land, resources, and blood feuds. To an orc, dwarves are stubborn, greedy stone-rats, hoarding weapons and gold that should rightfully belong to warriors. The feeling is mutual¿dwarves despise orcs just as much. Orcs also clash frequently with elves, seeing them as cowardly, arrogant, and weak. They mock elven magic, believing that true warriors rely on their own strength, not tricks and illusions. However, orcs do not view all enemies with equal hatred. They respect those who fight bravely and do not cower, even if they are foes. Some orc tribes will ally with strong warriors or mercenaries, so long as the partnership benefits them. Orcs have no patience for politics, philosophy, or scholarly pursuits. They live for battle, and anything that does not serve the warband or tribe is seen as a waste of time.
