General
Half-elves are the children of two worlds, yet fully belonging to neither. Born from the
union of humans and elves, they are outsiders by nature, often struggling to find a
place in the world. Among humans, they are seen as otherworldly, too long-lived and
reserved, while elves consider them too brash, impatient, and tainted by human imperfection.
However, their mixed heritage grants them a blend of talents. Half-elves possess the agility
and intelligence of their elven lineage, combined with the adaptability and ambition of
humanity. While not as naturally gifted in magic as full-blooded elves, nor as physically
strong as humans, they compensate with versatility and resilience. They are wandering souls,
thriving in roles that require both cunning and adaptability, such as bards, thieves,
assassins, and spellcasters. Unlike their elven kin, half-elves do not share the same
connection to the forests and can live comfortably in cities, mountains, and even harsh
landscapes, making them survivors in nearly any environment.

Physical & Mental Traits
Half-elves have a mix of human and elven features, typically appearing more delicate than
humans but sturdier than elves. They often retain pointed ears, sharp cheekbones, and slightly
elongated features, but their height and build vary depending on their parentage. Their
lifespan is longer than a human¿s but shorter than an elf¿s, usually reaching around 150 years.
They have keen minds, often excelling in strategy, magic, and the fine arts. Their intelligence
surpasses that of most humans, but they lack the physical durability of either parent race,
making them more vulnerable in prolonged combat. However, one thing that sets them apart is
their resistance to mental manipulation. Due to their split heritage, they are naturally
resistant to magical effects that affect the mind, such as fear, magical paralysis, and
charm spells. While half-elves may be graceful and quick-witted, they struggle with identity
and belonging. Many feel unwanted by both humans and elves, leading them to forge their own
paths - whether as lone wanderers, cunning tricksters, or ruthless mercenaries.

Culture & Philosophy
Half-elves rarely have a culture of their own. Instead, they exist between societies, often
never fully accepted by either. Elves view them as short-lived and reckless, while humans see
them as too aloof and strange. Because of this, most half-elves live nomadic lives, taking up
roles as adventurers, scholars, spies, or mercenaries. In human lands, they fare slightly better,
as humans are less bound by tradition than elves. Some half-elves integrate into human cities,
taking advantage of their sharp minds and agility to rise to power in trade, politics, or crime.
Others live as drifters, unwilling or unable to settle. Among elves, half-elves are often
tolerated but not fully embraced. They may train in elven arts, such as archery, swordplay,
or magic, but they are rarely granted the same respect as true elves. Some elven communities
consider them a disgrace, while others simply view them as lost souls, unfit for true elven society.
Because of this, half-elves tend to develop an independent mindset, valuing personal freedom,
adaptability, and cunning over loyalty to any particular nation or race. Many become bards,
thieves, spies, or skilled diplomats, using their intelligence and charm to navigate a world
that doesn¿t fully accept them. However, their divided nature also makes them prone to inner
conflict. Some desperately seek belonging, trying to prove themselves to one side or the other.
Others reject both human and elven ideals, embracing their exile and carving their own destiny.
