If a character is under a know-aura effect, the empathy spell will grant
extra functionality to the alignment command (help alignment) In addition
to seeing what the alignment is, you will also be able to see its current spot
on the numeric alignment scale from -1000 to 1000. Only clerics, druids, paladins,
and bards are able to cast the empathy spell. The spell can be cast on self
or others.
